He stood at the front of the alter. His hands clasped together, looking ahead expectantly as he waited patiently for this next chapter of his life to begin with his new bride. Their family and friends took their seats at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church to celebrate Taylor’s and Mark’s marriage and commitment to each other.
One night. Three years ago. Where it all started. Of all the girls in Lafayette, Louisiana (in all of the girls in the world for that matter) she could have been anywhere but Cowboys, danced with anyone but Mark. But they were both there, at the same time. Who knew on that night, three years ago that on February 16, 2019 they would start the rest of their life as husband and wife?! Gosh, life is so incredible!
From the stunning silk flowers by Roxy’s Garden to the sentimental items incorporated to remember loved ones. It was clear there was a lot of thought and care put into the wedding planning for this beautiful day. I could go on about how much fun it was (yes, even for me, I love this stuff guys!!) and how sweet this sweet couple is, but in effort not to get carried away. Enjoy some of my favorites.
Her sisters and Dad had a special surprise for Taylor at the reception. You can see a taste of that below. But let’s just say, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room…or maybe that was just because my eyes were draining of all fluid and it gave the illusion that everyone else was crying too?!
“As Father mentioned at the ceremony, I knew a cookie cutter dance was not something I wanted for you, Taylor. So we have been practicing this for months.” Her Dad took her by the hand and led her to the dance floor while her sisters, Katherine and Claire took their spots on the stage to sing to their sister. Three songs woven together to create a sweet and sentimental dance for Taylor and her Dad. **tissues please**
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. LaPorte! Thank you for allowing me to share in your special day!
