When I first met Neva we were chatting over the phone about all things wedding. I could feel her excitement through the laugh in her voice. Now, after knowing her a little bit longer, I know that part of that is because of her love for Nick, and part of it is her bubbly personality. I knew in that moment we would get along well. She couldn’t stop talking about how excited she was to marry Nick and had only good things to share about her fiancé.
Originally they were supposed to say their vows in the outdoor ceremony space at L’Eglise in Abbeville, Louisiana. But unfortunately it had rained the day before and the space was too muddy. But it was still a beautiful ceremony lit by twinkly lights and the sunshine spilling through the windows. It was also VERY cold that day. I bet you can’t tell in these photos that everyone had frozen hands and were shivering between snapshots. But that didn’t put a damper on their wedding day. Nick helped keep Neva smiling (or with happy tears) all day long and never failed to remind her how glad he was to be calling her his.
Neva and Nick are about to welcome their little girl, Evie to the world. I’m so happy for them and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Mr. & Mrs. Kibodeaux.
